GIS Spatial connects FlowPath to your organization's ArcGIS. It shows your buildings, assets and work orders on one interactive map, together with the utility and reference layers your GIS team already maintains, and it can bring work orders, locations and equipment from ArcGIS straight into FlowPath. Before you start - **ArcGIS account:** GIS Spatial works with your organization's Esri ArcGIS (ArcGIS Online) account. Your GIS data stays in ArcGIS, and FlowPath reads it from there. - **GIS Spatial add-on:** contact your FlowPath account team to have it turned on. - **Access:** admins can use GIS Spatial automatically. Other users need the **GIS Spatial** permission. **What you can sync from ArcGIS** You choose what to bring into FlowPath in the ArcGIS integration settings, and you can turn each one on or pause it at any time. - **Work orders:** issues your field crews or GIS team log in ArcGIS (for example, from a mobile form) arrive in FlowPath as work orders, ready to assign, schedule and track like any other. They also appear on the map where they were reported. - **Locations:** import your buildings and spaces from ArcGIS so your FlowPath locations match your GIS. - **Equipment:** import your assets from ArcGIS, each placed on the map where it sits. - **Map layers:** building footprints, asset locations, underground utilities, parcel boundaries and service zones fill in the map. **Connect ArcGIS (admins)** 1. In ArcGIS, create application credentials and copy the **Client ID** and **Client Secret**. 2. In FlowPath, go to **Settings \> Integrations \> ArcGIS** and enter the Client ID and Client Secret. 3. Choose what to sync: work orders, locations, equipment and any of the map layers. 4. Pick a sync schedule: every 15 minutes, hourly, daily or manual. The ArcGIS settings page shows when the last sync ran, what is active and your recent sync activity, so you can confirm your data is flowing. ### Good to know - FlowPath reads from ArcGIS and never changes your ArcGIS data. Keep editing your map data, locations and equipment in ArcGIS, and FlowPath picks up the changes on the next sync. - Work orders that arrive from ArcGIS are then managed in FlowPath, like any other work order. - Buildings and assets on the map link to the matching records in FlowPath, so clicking one opens the right record. **Explore the map** Open **GIS Spatial \> Map** from the left navigation. The map zooms to fit your data. - **Layers:** turn each layer on or off with the switches along the top of the map: building footprints, asset pins, work orders, water and sewer mains, hydrants, lift stations, parcels and service zones. - **Building condition at a glance:** building footprints are shaded by Facility Condition Index (FCI), from Excellent to Critical. - **Work order status at a glance:** work order pins show SLA status by both color and shape: on track, at risk or needs attention. - **Clusters:** pins that sit close together group into a numbered cluster. Click it to zoom in. - **Legend:** the legend on the map explains each color and shape. **Select and take action** - **Click** anything on the map to see its details in a side panel. - **Shift + click** to add an item to your selection, or remove it. - **Shift + drag** to draw a box and select everything inside it. - **Click an empty part of the map** to clear your selection. The side panel shows what matters for each item: a building's condition along with the assets and work orders inside it, an asset's open work orders, or a work order's SLA, priority and status. From the panel you can: - **Create a work order** for an asset or building, with the asset or location already filled in. - **Open the asset or work order** in FlowPath. When you select several items, the panel lists them grouped by type, with a link to each record. **Ideas for using GIS Spatial** - Let field crews log issues in ArcGIS and have them land in FlowPath as work orders, ready to assign. - Keep FlowPath's locations and equipment in step with your GIS, without entering them twice. - Spot where open work orders cluster across a campus or district, and which ones are at risk of missing their SLA. - Plan capital projects from building condition, with the buildings in the worst shape standing out on the map. - Check what is underground or nearby, such as water and sewer mains, hydrants and lift stations, before sending a crew. -
