How To Print Placard QR Codes
Generate and print location or equipment QR code placards from your External Forms settings.
QR code placards let anyone scan a code and submit a request that's automatically tied to a specific location or piece of equipment. Admins can create placard templates and print placards right from FlowPath.
Before you start
- You need admin access, or access to the back-end settings.
- You need at least one placard template. Your FlowPath team may have already loaded one for you.
Print placards
- From your Work Order Dashboard, click your name in the bottom left corner to open Global Settings.
- Select the External Forms tab.
- Click the form you want placards for (for example, your feedback form).
- Next to the form's QR code, click Print Placards.
- Your default template loads automatically. Choose a different one from the template menu if you need to.
- Pick a Building. The list filters to show only that building's locations.
- Check the box next to each location you want to print.
- Click Print to open the preview, then print.
Tip: To reprint one damaged or missing placard, filter to its building and check only that location.
Create or edit a placard template
- In Global Settings > External Forms, go to Template Designs.
- Click Create for a new template, or open an existing one to edit it.
- Upload your placard background as a PDF, PNG, or JPG. This can be your current placard or a blank design made in another tool.
- Add, move, or remove variables on the placard:
- Account and Location for location-based placards
- Equipment Name for equipment-based placards
- Save the template.
Equipment placards: Add the Equipment Name variable to make placards for specific assets, like washing machines or ice machines. Requests submitted from those placards come in tied to that piece of equipment.
FAQ
Do I need to edit the template before printing?
No. If your FlowPath team loaded your template during onboarding, it's ready to use.
Why don't I see the Print Placards button?
Check that you have admin or back-end settings access. If you still don't see it, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Can I have more than one template?
